US, Cambodia Bolster Commitment to Combatting Human Trafficking

Phnom Penh: Secretary of State in the Ministry of Interior and Permanent Vice Chair of the National Committee for Combating Human Trafficking, Chou Bun Eng, says the United States remains committed in its support of Cambodia’s fight against human trafficking. This was presented at a meeting on "Progress in Combating Human Trafficking, Challenges and Solutions", held on Monday night at the office of the Minister of Justice. It was chaired by Minister of Women’s Affairs, Ing Kantha Phavi.

US Ambassador to Cambodia, W. Patrick Murphy, stated that his government is committed to strengthening its support for the Royal Government when it comes to preventing human trafficking, especially of its efforts to increased law enforcement around the crime and disseminate information extensively through a widespread awareness campaign.
